| The Resident String Quartet of the Western Society of Chamber Music has spent a grueling summer working with local composer Darin Templeton on the string quartet that he has recently written. This is the first ensemble to play this new work, and working with the composer on one of his compositions is like getting a chance to work with Mozart. The WSCM Resident String Quartet has also spent a summer of long nights beneath microphones as they record this work, along with another short work by Mr. Templeton, for a CD that they will release November 1, and that is currently available for order here. Come and hear the musicians of the WSCM Resident String Quartet give a live performance of Mr. Templeton’s work as they open the new season of the Western Society of Chamber Music "Concerts at the Hill" Series. Also on the program will be the Brahms Piano Quintet, Op. 34, and "Scene de Ballet," Op. 100, by Charles Beriot. |
